Presenter bio’s:

Eric Kella, EIT, CHC, VP of Operations

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Western Michigan University, and is licensed Engineer in Training (EIT) in the State of Michigan. He is also a Certified Healthcare Constructor through the American Hospital Association.

He has over 7 years of construction experience with a majority being in the healthcare industry, but has also managed work in all market segments, including education, food & beverage, and commercial/industrial.

Eric’s expertise is working within the occupied space of an operational hospital, and he has a vast knowledge of healthcare facilities, including MEP systems, medical gas, and rated barriers. He is also well-versed in infection control prevention through performing infection control risk assessments (ICRAs) and maintaining clinical controls throughout a project to limit patient exposure. Eric also has experience working with the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) all the way from a local level up through to the Bureau of Fire Services and Bureau of Health Care Services, Health Facilities Engineering Section.

Philip Larson, CHFM, Project Specialist

Philip H. Larson, CHFM has 35 years of healthcare experience.
Prior to joining Compliance One, he was employed by the Joint Commission as a Life Safety Code Surveyor for 11 years. He was trained in the Hospital Accreditation Program, the Critical Access Hospital Program, and acted as a team member on Department of Defense surveys worldwide, as well as Veterans Administration Hospital surveys throughout the United States.

Before working for the Joint Commission, Phil spent 19 years as part of the administrative team at Beloit Memorial Regional Health System as their Director of Facilities Engineering.

Philip has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cardinal Stritch University and studied Industrial Engineering at Western Wisconsin Technical College.
