Q: Does a diesel-fueled generator belly tank require an NFPA 704 safety signage when located outdoors?
A: Yes. While I do not find any reference to NFPA 704 signage in NFPA 110-2010, section 188.8.131.52 of NFPA 30-2012 does require NFPA 704 signs be applied to all storage tanks containing combustible liquids.
